This is the follow up to A LIT WICK, and the second book in what I'm calling "The Burning Insight" series -- a very personal collection poems and short stories based on my life. This book was written over a three year period, after quitting my job, moving to the desert and exploring our country. It deals with everything from nature and travel to family relationships, growth, coping with change and trauma, grief and love. ❤️
Thank you so much to everyone who already pre-ordered and listened to me rambling about it on social media for the last two months. I'm admittedly bad at doing self-promotion and marketing my own work. It's not something that I enjoy, but it has to be done. Every pre-order that came in made it feel a little less terrible and the book opened on Amazon at #1 in "Poetry About Places", #2 in "Protest / Political Poetry", and #13 in "Grief / Loss Poetry"!
Every order means THE WORLD to an indie author and I'm no exception. To anyone who thinks I make money on my books -- nothing could be further from the truth. These are works of passion and stories that I just hope find an audience.
